Can I safely rent a car during corona?
Yes, renting a car is a safe option right now. In your own rental car you only have to deal with your own travel group and you decide where you go. This way you can easily avoid busy places. In addition, the safety and hygiene of the cars is a top priority for us. The rental cars and rental locations of our rental suppliers are always thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. My flight is delayed – what should I do?
If your flight is delayed, there is a good chance that you will not be able to pick up the car at the indicated pick-up time. If you have indicated the flight number in the car rental reservation, the local car rental company can track the delay. You don't have to do anything for this. However, if you have a delay of more than 2 hours, it is best to call our emergency number so that we can reconfirm the rental car. Incidentally, it is good to know that you book risk-free via RNTaCar, as you always pay the remaining rental price of the car locally and therefore do not incur these costs if you do not use the car.
What are the conditions for all travel to the USA regarding the Coronavirus?
You must be fully vaccinated to travel to the United States by plane if you are a non-U.S. citizen, non-U.S. immigrant (not a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or traveling to the United States on an immigrant visa). To what extent am I insured with a rental car from RNTaCar?
All the necessary insurances are included in our favorable rental price. This way you are well insured and do not have to worry about that. The damage insurance, theft insurance and liability insurance are always included. Read all about the insurance here. In most countries there is still a deductible. Choose our No-Risk Warranty to cover your deductible.
What is and what is not included in the rental price?
When you rent a car at RNTaCar, the necessary insurances are always included. These are damage insurance, theft insurance and liability insurance. Besides, the local tax, airport tax and listed free mileage are also included in the rental price. In most cases, the number of free mileage is unlimited, unless stated otherwise. Read more about what is included in the price here. Do you want to book extras, such as a child seat, navigation system, or ski rack? Then you have to pay a local surcharge at the rental location. The price of the rental car is also exclusive fuel costs, the deductible and extra drivers.
What is the deductible?
Several insurances work with a deductible. This means that you are liable for a certain amount in the event of damage. You can easily buy off the deductible with our No-Risk Warranty for € 3.50 per day.
In most instances, the deductible excess is € 1500. In some locaties and for larger or more luxurious cars, the excess may be higher on site. In that case, we offer the No-Risk Plus, which fully covers the excess. The cost of this is € 7,50 per day. At this moment in time, this can only be added to the booking by our Customer Service Team.
How much are the costs for canceling or changing my reservation?
At RNTaCar you book a rental car without surprises. You can change or cancel your car rental booking free of charge up to 48 hours before departure. This way you will never be faced with surprises since you only pay for your rental car if you actually use it. If you cancel the rental car within 48 hours before the pick-up date, it will only cost you the deposit. Read all about changing and canceling here.
Why do I need a credit card to rent a car?
In most countries, it is mandatory to present a credit card in the name of the main driver when picking up the rental car. This has to do with the deposit of the rental car. Is it possible to return the rental car at a different location than the pick-up location?
In many cases, it is no problem to return the rental car at a different location than the pick-up location, a so-called one-way car rental booking. In most cases you pay an extra surcharge for this, these are the drop-off costs. The advantage of a one-way is that you do not have to drive all the way back to the starting point or you can rent the car in the city center, but return it at the airport.
Can I cross the border with my rental car?
